Start Thanksgiving on a Healthy Foot at the Baltimore City Turkey Trot

Posted November 13th, 2019

Whether you’re a competitive runner, a charitable soul, or just need an excuse to have a second slice of pumpkin pie in the evening, there are plenty of reasons to head out to the Baltimore City Turkey Trot this Thanksgiving. The charity event sponsored by the YMCA starts at 8:30 am at the Weinberg Y in Waverly, circles around scenic Lake Montebello, and will wrap up early enough that you won’t miss the Thanksgiving Day parade on TV back at home. If speed isn’t your forte, show off your style in the costume contest, with prizes for best individual, group, and pet costumes.

With your registration, you’ll get a complimentary 30-day membership to the Y, which can help you close out 2019 with some healthy habits. Best of all, you’ll be supporting the Y Open Doors program, which provides support for local families living in poverty. Registration is $35 for adults, $20 for school-aged kids, and $5 for children 6 and under.
