Luminary community crafts holiday cards for Cool Kids Campaign
Luminary at One Light residents craft holiday cards for the Cool Kids Campaign on Dec. 11, 2019.

The Luminary community met Wednesday, Dec. 11 on the building’s 28th floor to craft holiday cards for children in the Cool Kids Campaign, an organization devoted to improving the quality of life for pediatric oncology patients and their families by focusing on the academic, social and emotional needs brought on by a cancer diagnosis.

Founded in Maryland in 2006, the Cool Kids Campaign works to serve hundreds of children each year by providing individual custom care packages to children across the U.S. who have been newly diagnosed with cancer.

Each care package contains the organization’s book, “You Are Not Alone” complied with stories and testimonies from other Cool Kids Campaign families, empowering kids along the way with the campaign’s slogan — “Cancer fears me.”
