Posted June 15th, 2021 camping, glamping, maryland, national camping month, travel

Looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life? Want to get your hands a little dirty, dig into a warm, tasty s’more, and to fall asleep to the sounds of nature?

If so, it sounds like it might be time for you to plan a camping trip! Now is the perfect time to pack your bags and go camping because June is National Camping Month.

Observed since the 1970’s, National Camping Month is a time to bond with your friends and family through a shared night on a campsite. Be sure to plan ahead for your camping trip and bring plenty of fresh water, a first aid kit, non-perishable food, sunblock, and other essentials! Make sure to also consider the amenities offered by your campsite — is your campsite more modern with showers and recreational facilities, or is it more primitive with no electrical hookups?

To achieve the change of scenery you’re yearning for through a camping trip, look no further than the great state of Maryland. In only a short drive from Luminary at One Light, you can achieve your dream camping experience. Let’s take a look at some fun campsites not too far from Baltimore:
