Namaste, Luminary at One Light residents! Get your zen on June 21st with International Yoga Day.
Yoga is an ancient practice of connecting the mind, body, and soul with exercise, methods of relaxation, and breathing techniques. Besides healing the psyche, yoga aids physical injuries, chronic pain, and muscle tension.
So, celebrate the day with a stretch—or two. In case you didn’t know, Luminary has weekly yoga on their lawn, Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. (and International Yoga Day is on a Tuesday this year).
Then partake in these special events on June 21st for International Yoga Day.
Oasis Marinas is hosting a Summer Solstice Sunrise Paddle at 5:30 a.m. in the Inner Harbor. There will be a guided paddle session followed by delectable Supper Coffee. The paddle-boarding will have some yoga-inspired moves, so be sure to check it out and enjoy the sunrise on the water this International Yoga Day.
The Cube CoWork is leading a yoga class from noon until 1:00 p.m. on International Yoga Day.
Dope moms are teaching us how to “just breathe” with their Breathe Mama meditation and yoga event. From 7:00-8:00 p.m., Janáy Jacobs is leading everyone through a sound bath experience. If interested, tickets are available for $20/person.

Here are some nearby Baltimore yoga studios to find some equilibrium and balance on International Yoga Day and beyond.
Baltimore Yoga Studies in Remington is a community-centered yoga space and not-for-profit that primarily focuses on yoga classes, ashtanga, and Mysore-style practices.
Breathing Dragon Yoga is located in Harbor Point and specializes in hot yoga and hot HIIT classes.
Bikram Yoga Works offers in-person and virtual yoga, wellness sessions, and pain management classes in Mt. Vernon.
