Posted November 18th, 2023 dining, holidays, restaurants, takeout, Thanksgiving

So, you offered to host Thanksgiving dinner, but you bit off more than you can chew. Or, maybe you’re just hoping to have a chill Thanksgiving at your Luminary apartment home this year. Skip the stress of preparing an extravagant meal and let the professionals handle it. Plenty of local Baltimore restaurants are offering Thanksgiving takeout packages this year.

Full Meals

From turkey to gravy, you can get everything you need for a full Thanksgiving spread with a pick-up order from one of these Charm City locales… no cooking required!

Enjoying a quiet Thanksgiving with your partner or a friend? Little Havana has the perfect dinner for two, complete with roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, herb stuffing green beans, gravy, and cranberry. You can even add on an extra helping of your favorite sides, or a pie. If you or one of your guests is vegetarian, they have additional veggie options too.

Sally O’s is another great Thanksgiving takeout option. Take your pick from 4 scrumptious pies –– they can even include an ice cream pairing. Side selections include sweet potato casserole, collard greens, and oyster stuffing.

If your favorite dish on the Thanksgiving table is the bread, you’ll want to order from Atwater’s. In addition to their traditional Turkey Day plates, they have amazing brioche rolls, a cranberry pecan boule, and a C’ville sourdough boule. Plus, they have multiple locations, so you can pick up your order from whichever is closest to your dinner destination.

Pastry connoisseurs will also appreciate The Corner Pantry’s menu. From sweet potato and sage scones, to toffee apple pie, they’re cheffing up plenty of treats for your table. They also offer Cane Collective cocktail mixes, so you won’t have to worry about preparing drinks this Thanksgiving.

Mama’s on the Half Shell might just have the largest Thanksgiving pick-up menu of the year. Opt for a full feast with turkey and ham, a crab cake dinner, or even rosemary lamb lollipops. Add on one (or two, or three) of their 10 starters, and don’t forget dessert.

Choosy diners will appreciate Sobo Cafe’s completely customizable dinner package. Select whole turkey or turkey breast and add sage stuffing, potatoes, veggies, and cranberry-orange sauce. Then, pick among their a la carte sides, plus pies, tarts, and rolls galore.

Last, but not least, Kneads has 3 Thanksgiving dinner tiers. Their smoked ham and roasted turkey dinner options serve 4-6. If you’re hosting a bigger gathering, order the Thanksgiving feast that can serve 8-10 loved ones.

Dessert

If you don’t want to buy a full meal to-go, you can still save yourself some hassle and let someone else make dessert.

Lots of local bakeries and cafes are offering Thanksgiving dessert pickup. Cafe Dear Leon has three delectable options: hazelnut apple tart, pecan tart, and pumpkin cheesecake. No matter which you choose, you can’t go wrong. Or, have the French patisserie experience with the Tarte Bourdaloue pear tart or croissant box from Sacre Sucre

The Charmery has super unique ice cream pies, such as a caramel pumpkin pie made with spiced pumpkin ice cream in a graham cracker crust. They even have a vegan mud pie made with Maryland Mud Coconut Cream.

Dangerously Delicious Pies has a list of over 15 different pies, including traditional pumpkin or sweet potato and some unique creations like Motown Brown and Baltimore Bomb. Make sure to pick your flavors and order ASAP though, as they tend to sell out.

Dining Out

Want to skip the dishes, too? Consider dining out! Two great Charm City restaurants are hosting Thanksgiving Day buffets.

The Four Seasons Hotel is offering a gourmet, one-of-a-kind Thanksgiving Day brunch. Guests can enjoy a delicious buffet including cider-brined roasted turkey, corn succotash, and even charcuterie. The Rusty Scupper is putting a Baltimore-inspired spin on its Thanksgiving menu, including stuffing made with local oysters. If you prefer to stick to the classics, don’t worry –– there will also be roasted turkey, candied yams, and other hits. Plus, check out their selection of 8+ desserts.
